1 Peter 2:18-25 “Slaves in Exile”
Slaves
Many Christians were slaves in the Romans world.
This passage shows that slaves carry equal value in God's kingdom.
Slaves also have responsibility in fulfilling the mission God has for them.
Submission
Slaves are to submit to masters in the fear of God.
There will be suffering involved, but the responsibility remains.
In this submission, the grace of God will shine through.
Christ's Suffering Example
Christians are called to suffer.
Jesus suffered unjustly but trusted the God who is just.
God's perfect purpose in Jesus was accomplished through suffering.
